Los Angeles, CA | July 19, 2019 UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCP Wheels) is pleased to announce the launch of its third Invitation to Bid (ITB) through the USAID-funded Consolidating Logistics for Assistive Technology Supply and Provision II (CLASP II) project. The goal of CLASP is to improve the availability of and access to appropriate assistive products in less resourced settings and to promote quality service provision. Key to improving access to appropriate products is diversifying the range of products offered through the CLASP catalogue.

The third ITB is for the following product classes:

• Pediatric active manual wheelchairs

• Pediatric supportive strollers

• Walkers (pediatric and adult)

• Crutches (pediatric and adult)

• Canes/sticks (pediatric and adult)

• White canes (pediatric and adult)

• Hand-powered tricycles (add-on for manual wheelchairs)

Eligible bidders are assistive product suppliers worldwide that meet the criteria outlined in the ITB. Distributors are not eligible to bid. Proposals will be evaluated by CLASP’s Product Advisory Council against an assessment rubric, which is outlined in the ITB.

Interested suppliers should email pac@clasphub.org for a copy of the ITB.
