Los Angeles, CA | December 21st, 2018. CLASP is extending the timeline for Invitation to Bid II (ITB2) to accommodate the holiday season in some countries. The revised timeline is as follows:

  • Bids must be submitted to pac@clasphub.org by January 11th, 2019
  • January 18, 2019: CLASP requests missing documentation
  • January 25, 2019: Suppliers submit revised documentation to pac@clasphub.org
  • February 1, 2019: CLASP notifies supplier if the product meets minimum requirements for in-person evaluation
  • February 1-March 15, 2019: Product Advisory Council evaluation period. May include further Q&A with suppliers
  • March 11-15, 2019: In-person demo evaluation by the Product Advisory Council
  • April 8-12, 2019: Suppliers are notified if their product is invited to CLASP’s catalog

 

The second ITB is for the following product classes:

  • Manual wheelchairs with postural support devices for adults and children (also known as intermediate level products as per the World Health Organization’s definition)
  • Postural Support Accessories
  • Wheelchair cushions for adult and pediatric wheelchairs

 

Eligible bidders are wheelchair suppliers worldwide that meet the criteria outlined in the ITB. Proposals will be evaluated by CLASP’s Product Advisory Council against an assessment rubric, which is outlined in the ITB. Please circulate this message to wheelchair suppliers in your network.
